Events

• March 24 – The "Why Cryonics Makes Sense" article is published.
• May – Philip Rhoades neuropreserves his parents.
• June – The Japan Cryonics Association members continue their activity in the Japan Translife Association.
• July 23 – The Realive film premieres in Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada.
• October 17 – "JS" legally dies and is cryopreserved by the Cryonics Institute a few days later.
• November 12–13 – The 1st International Cryonics Conference is held.
• November – The Osiris facility begins operating.
• December 14 – CryoPath is incorporated.
• December – The Shandong Yinfeng Life Science Foundation, a sister organization of the Shandong Yinfeng Life Science Research Institute, is founded.

• The Swedish Cryonics Association is founded.
