JS (legal death on October 17, 2016)[1] is the pseudonym of a British 14-year-old girl from London who won a legal battle for the right to be cryopreserved.[1] She legally died of cancer,[1] and was perfused by the Cryonics UK.[2] She was placed in dry ice and transported to the United States.[2] There she was cryopreserved by the Cryonics Institute (CI), becoming CI's 143th patient.[1] She was CI's youngest patient at the time.[3]
