- January 8 – Matheryn Naovaratpong, the youngest cryonics patient in the world, is cryopreserved.
- February 25 – Ole Martin Moen's paper "The Case for Cryonics" is published online and later in the Journal of Medical Ethics.
- March – Deborah Cheek becomes the first patient preserved by Oregon Cryonics.
- March 12 – The Elementary episode "T-Bone and the Iceman" first airs.
- April – Laurence Pilgeram is cryopreserved by the Alcor Life Extension Foundation.
- May 30 – Du Hong, probably the first Chinese cryonics patient in the world, is cryopreserved by the Alcor Life Extension Foundation.
- August 25 – James Baglivo legally dies and is cryopreserved by the Alcor Life Extension Foundation.
- October – Natasha Vita-More and Daniel Barranco's paper "Persistence of Long-Term Memory in Vitrified and Revived Caenorhabditis elegans" is published in Rejuvenation Research.
- October 9–11 – The 2015 Alcor Cryonics Conference is held.
- November 2 – The New short film is released online.
