Deborah Lynn Cheek[1] (June 9, 1953 – legal death March 13, 2015)[1] is the first person preserved by Oregon Cryonics.[2] She was born in Logan, West Virginia, and raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan.[1] She was 61 years old when she legally died of lung cancer.[1] Her brain was preserved in a process called immersion fixation, by using formalin.[2][1]
