Church of Perpetual Life
The Church of Perpetual Life (COPL) is an American religious-style life extension / cryonics organization founded in 2013 by Bill Faloon and Saul Kent.[1] Their premises located at 950 South Cypress Road, Pompano Beach, Florida[2] (formerly at 1855 McKinley St., Hollywood, Florida), their mission "is to assist all people in the radical extension of healthy human life, and to provide fellowship for longevity enthusiasts through regular, holiday and memorial services".[3] The officiator is Neal VanDeRee.[3]
COPL considers the Russian cosmist Nikolai Fyodorovich Fyodorov (1829–1903) and the English science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke (1917–2008) its prophets.[3] COPL celebrates James Bedford Day, and holds the Remembrance of the Resurrectables, an annual ceremony to commemorate those who have been cryopreserved.[4] The Cryonics Symposium International conference was held in COPL's McKinley St. premises on July 27, 2019.[5]
