A number of events regarding cryonics occurred in 2018.

Events

• June – The Hope Frozen film premieres on Sheffield Doc/Fest.
• June 17 – Liu Aihui becomes the second non-confidential person cryopreserved by the Shandong Yinfeng Life Science Research Institute.
• October 11 – The 2030 film premieres on the Woodstock Film Festival.
• October 30 – Norman Hardy becomes the first person to undergo cryopreservation after an assisted suicide under the newly enacted California End of Life Option Act (EOLOA).
• November – The Society for Cryobiology publishes a position statement on cryonics.
• November 25 – Yuri Pichugin legally dies and is cryopreserved a few days later by KrioRus.
