Southern Cryonics
Southern Cryonics (SC) is an Australian nonprofit organization that conducts whole-body preservations[1] and possibly also neuropreservations. It was incorporated on May 15, 2012 as Stasis Systems Australia (SSA).[2] SC's cryonics facility is located in Holbrook, New South Wales, Australia.[2] The facility was completed in February 2023.[3][4] The founder, director, and chairman of SC is Peter Tsolakides.[5]
SC does not provide SST services.[1] SST is handled by other organizations, such as the Australian CryoPath.[1]
In September 2021, the Shandong Yinfeng Life Science Research Institute sent Southern Cryonics a cooldown box.[6]
In May 2024, SC cryopreserved its first patient, a male in his 80s.[7][8] As of April 2025, SC has 35 members.[9]
