Chappie
Chappie is a 2015 science fiction movie directed by Neil Blomkamp (Elysium, District 9).
Plot
In a future when the police force is now a fleet of autonomous robots, some of the criminals have decided it is time to fight back. After hijacking one of the robots and installing new programming onto it, "Chappie" as he becomes known, has now become self-aware.
