Max More
Max More (born Max T. O'Connor; January 1964)[1] is a British-born American cryonicist and transhumanist. He is a former president of the Alcor Life Extension Foundation, from January 1, 2011 to 2020.[2][3] He was the Ambassador and President Emeritus of Alcor from 2020 to January 2023, having been the Director of Communications of Biostasis Technologies after that.[4] Having joined Alcor in 1986,[3] he has signed up for neuropreservation with Alcor.[5]
More received a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Southern California in 1995 after completing a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University.[1] He is married to Natasha Vita-More, since 1996.[1]
He is a signatory of the Scientists' Open Letter on Cryonics, having signed it on March 31, 2004.[6]
