Anita Riskin (April 22, 1945 – legal death February 6, 2006)[1][note 1] is an Alcor Life Extension Foundation cryopatient[2] who was so captivated by cryonics that she agreed to have her final days and the cryopreservation process filmed for television (in the documentary Death in the Deep Freeze) to 'spread the good word'.[3][4] She was the wife of the long-time Alcor board member Dr. Michael Riskin.[5]

A whole-body member, she suffered sudden cardiac arrest at her home in southern California after an extended battle with malignant melanoma.[6] Her identifier is A-1356.[6]

Notes

  1. Daily Mail (July 29, 2006) claims she died legally on February 2, but this is not right.
