Bedford day, also called James Bedford day, is an unofficial holiday celebrated on January 12th by cryonics advocates.[1] The date marks the successful cryonics preservation of James Bedford, an emeritus professor of psychology at the University of California, which occurred on Jan. 12, 1967. The occasion has been celebrated since at least 1995 by folks at Alcor and elsewhere.[2]. An article appeared in CNET news discussing the 50th anniversary date in 2017.[3]
