Events

• January 1 – Greg Fahy becomes the president of the Society for Cryobiology.
• January – Cryopets is founded.
• January 30 – Open Cryonics cryopreserves its first patient.
• February 23 – The Alcor Life Extension Foundation turns 50.
• The European Biostasis Foundation facility is completed in Rafz, Zürich, Switzerland.
• June 3–5 – The Alcor-50 Conference is held.
• October 21–23 – The Biostasis2022 conference is held.

• The Shandong Yinfeng Life Science Research Institute is planning on extending into all of Asia starting in 2022.
• Trans Time turns 50.
