A number of events regarding cryonics occurred in 2000.

- March 18 – Mae Ettinger legally dies and is cryopreserved by the Cryonics Institute.
- April 4 – CRYONICS Institute Germany is registered.
- June – The Fourth Alcor Conference on Life Extension Technology is held.
