Ray Kurzweil

Raymond "Ray" Kurzweil is an American futurist and transhumanist author known for writing The Singularity Is Near (2005), which famously predicted that a technological singularity will occur in the year 2045. He is signed up for cryopreservation with the Alcor Life Extension Foundation.
