Hardcore Henry
Hardcore Henry is a Russian action film notable for being shot entirely from the first-person perspective.
Plot[править]
A man wakes up in a flying Moscow laboratory to learn that he's been brought back from the dead, becoming a half-human, half-robotic cyborg. He has no memory of his former life, but a woman who claims to be his wife tells him that his name is Henry. Before she can activate his voice box, armed thugs storm in and kidnap her…
Then all hell breaks lose.
The film is entirely filmed from a first person perspective, which makes it a little bit dizzying at times. If you can stand that, then you're in for quite a ride.
The whole film is pretty much a chase scene similar to Crank, with blood and guts splattering everywhere along the way. There's far too much death and destruction for it to be considered a truly transhumanist movie, but the theory behind it and the hybrid human technology is pretty cool. There's also some consciousness transfer via a technology similar to that seen on Surrogates. There's a rather weird scene featuring it towards the end that will either leave you in stitches, or pulling a face of bemusement.
Later in the film it is revealed why the technology that is used to create Henry exists, and there's also some explanation to how it works.

- If you are 18 years old; Amazing entertainment and a really neat idea. - 8/10
- If you are a bit older; Probably enjoy the spectacle of the movie, but think the story is terrible. 5/10 all for the cinematography.
Very interesting concept, but as per usual they've gone with the whole; "Oh look this cool new tech comes out, and someone starts doing bad things with it" route. They have to though, that's movies for you.
