The Secret of NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health) is a 1982 animated science fiction movie directed by Don Bluth.

The movie is based on the 1971 novel by Robert C. O'Brien titled: Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH.

Plot[править]

When Mrs. Brisby (who is known as Mrs. Frisby in the book) is forced to leave her home, she must seek the help of super-intelligent rats in order to do so. Her son is sick and cannot be moved without their assistance.

Transhumanist Elements[править]

The main transhumanist feature to The Secret of NIMH is the super-intelligent rats who achieved their enhancements via scientific experiments that were conducted on them.

Sequel[править]

A sequel was made titled The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue, however it received negative reviews and had no input from the creator of the original movie. [1]
