Marvin Minsky

Marvin Lee Minsky (August 9, 1927 – legal death January 24, 2016) was an American cognitive and computer scientist concerned largely with research of artificial intelligence (AI), co-founder of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's AI laboratory, and author of several texts concerning AI and philosophy.[1] Minsky was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Alcor Life Extension Foundation from 1999 to 2016.[2][3] He is a signatory of the Scientists' Open Letter on Cryonics, having signed it on March 19, 2004.[4]
Officially, Alcor "neither confirms nor denies" that Minsky was cryopreserved.[2] However, the case summary for Alcor patient A-1700 contains details that indicate that Minsky may be A-1700.[5]
