Fred Chamberlain

Frederick Rockwell Chamberlain III (November 21, 1935 – legal death March 22, 2012) founded the Alcor Life Extension Foundation in 1972 together with his wife, Linda Chamberlain.[1] He was cryopreserved by Alcor in 2012, his identifier being A-1002.[1] He was neuropreserved.[1]
He was an engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, Southern California, where he worked on the Voyager missions to Jupiter, and other projects.[2] LifeQuest, compiled in the 1970s, contains short stories written by him and others. He also wrote a novel about cryonics, BioQuagmire (2011).[3]
His father, Fred Chamberlain Jr., was cryopreserved in July 1976, becoming the first cryopreservation by Alcor.
