Hope Frozen is a 2018 Thai documentary film directed and co-written by Pailin Wedel, together with Nina Ijäs.[1] The film follows Matheryn "Einz" Naovaratpong's family who decided to have her cryopreserved. She legally died of brain cancer in 2015 when she was two years old. The length of the film is 75 minutes.[1]

The film premiered on Sheffield Doc/Fest in June 2018.[2] It was shown also at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival 2019, where it won the Best International Feature Documentary award.[3] The film was released on Netflix on September 15, 2020 under the title Hope Frozen: A Quest to Live Twice.[4] It won the International Emmy Award for Best Documentary in 2021, becoming the first Thai production to win an International Emmy.[5]
