Star Wars
Star Wars is a science fiction space fantasy franchise originally created by George Lucas.
History
Star Wars (Later renamed Star Wars: A New Hope, and Then Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope) is the first movie in the Star Wars franchise.
The first Star Wars later led onto a trilogy of movies (now referred to as "the original trilogy") before also being followed by a prequel trilogy of films, and later a series of Sequels (Episode 7,8 and 9) and further in-universe spinoffs (such as Rogue One, part of the Anthology series, which is set directly before the events of A New Hope).
The Star Wars universe has also been spun off into; books, comics, TV series, Video Games, and other multimedia formats.
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977)
Plot
When Princess Leia, leader of the Rebel Alliance, obtains plans that could help bring down the Empire's Death Star, she soon becomes captured.
Meanwhile, on a desert planet called Tattoine, a young man by the name of Luke Skywalker meets a Jedi master called Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Transhumanist Elements
There are few strictly transhumanist themes in A New Hope, these become more apparent as the series progresses.
