How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease is a New York Times bestselling book by Dr. Michael Greger and Gene Stone.[1] Part 1 of the book is comprised of fifteen chapters, each on how to prevent a different commonly fatal disease with one's diet, such as 'How Not to Die from Heart Disease'.[2] Part 2 covers twelve recommended foods to eat daily so as to help prolong one's life.[2] A recurring theme throughout the book is the authors' encouragement of a plant-based diet.[2]
