== Biography ==

From 2008 to 2012 he studied at the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a Researcher at the Automated Design Lab at University. Between 2010 and 2011 he was the Assistant Director of R&D at [[Humanity+]].

He began working on the [[Transhumanist Technical Roadmap]] in early 2007 and started a [http://web.archive.org/web/20090221124925/http://heybryan.org/pipermail/hplusroadmap/ mailing list] (No longer active) for discussion. In 2008 progress on the Roadmap was halted. The latest draft was mirrored by the [[Accelerating Future Wiki]] until it went down in early-to-mid 2012. An IRC channel for the discussion of the Roadmap, ''[[DIY Hplus|##hplusroadmap]]'', remains active today. He used to run a mailing list on [[megascale engineering]].

He used to write a blog called '[http://web.archive.org/web/20090322000911/http://heybryan.org/~bbishop/cgi-bin/blosxom.cgi Transhuman Musings]' (Archive.org only).
