Galaxy Express 999 is a manga created by Leiji Matsumoto, which is set in a space-faring future in which humans have achieved mind uploading to imperishable robotic bodies. It is notable for its message against immortalism, depicting people who have achieved indefinite life as nearly all being either depressive or evil.
