Cishumanism term coined by Dustin Ashley in 2014 referring a cautious and pragmatically use of human enhancement technologies, whilst retaining compatibility with a typical transhumanist narrative.

The idea is described as a label for taking a pragmatic and measured approach towards enhancement technologies, particularly potentially dangerous technologies such as AI,[1] but also practical health matters such as not replacing your limbs with artificial ones at the expense of healthy ones.[2] The term has been critised for characterising mainstream transhumanism as relatively irresponsible and unpragmatic.[3]

As a critique[править]

In alternative contexts, the term has been used as a term to oppose transhumanism outright.[4] It may be used informally to self-identify as a non-transhumanist.[5][6][7][8]
